I love this, down to the Next Week. Odd how after MS walked then came back suddenly Tealc and Sam gained emotional depth and actual *dare I say it* something to do! I do feel slightly guilty about disliking Jonas. It's completely true about never showing gulit on screen. Were we glad to see him go - heck yes!

Author's Response: I think the original concept came from the movie to focus on two characters, with the rest as supporting. I never could figure out why it took them so long to develop the supporting characters more, and even when they did, it often rang false *because* it took so long to see anything. I felt bad not liking him too, because I like the actor. The character was doomed with a poor introduction and even worse ongoing execution.

i just wanted to say that i absolutely love your 'breadbox editions'! they are so perfect... there's something there for everyone, and they are just great all around! i only read a few, but i just wanted to say: please never stop writing!

"HAMMOND: Where are Daniel and Jonas?
JACK: Still on the ship.
NOROMOS: Please don't mention that word. How about "metallic object in the sky" or something?" --> LOL! best line ever!

"[TEAL'C AND YU'S FIRST PRIME... I'M GETTING TIRED OF CALLING HIM THAT, AND I NEVER HEARD A NAME USED, SO I'M GOING TO CALL HIM SKIPPY.]" --> second best line, i almost fell off my chair laughing, don't know why, it's just absolutely hilarious.

also best audience ever! i think the audience always says exactly that what everyone is thinking while watching those episodes the second time (the firs time i don't always notice stuff like that)

i'm also in love with the non-jonas-fans/not-quite-jonas-fans, they're so sweet :P & again: love it, love it,love it too much!

i don't know if you're still writing, but i'd love to read more - also older episodes (legacy, crystal skull, first ones, etc.). great to read would also be the season 6 seasons, with daniel appearing (changeling [just think abut the possibilities], abyss, full circle)... so you see i'm already adiccted to your stories *sigh* lucky for me, i haven't read too many yet...

thank you so much for writing these! (you can see how much i adore your writing by the length of my review, lol)

Author's Response: I don't think I've ever explained the "Skippy" reference. It's amusing on its own because it's a silly name, but the backstory is author Peter David once wrote a short story in the Star Wars-verse where the red droid that blew a gasket in the first movie allowing R2D2 to be purchased instead was "Skippy the Jedi Droid" who sacrificed himself for destiny. That just stuck in my brain for some reason. ;) I've done a few earlier episodes. I got frustrated with the end of season eight, skipped and did some of season nine, and still wasn't happy with it. So I did "Revenge of the Breadbox Editions" where the audience sort of travels back in time. I've done "Fire and Water" and "Absolute Power." "Crystal Skull" is the next one in my head, but I just haven't had time to focus on it yet.

I have to say, reading this so totally made my day! (*snort* and the horribly overused poet quote comes to mind...) You wouldn't believe how often I think things like this while I'm watching an episode, especially the ones I've seen so many times it's not even funny so you start seeing those little things you miss the first couple of times. Your sense of humor is amazing and so close to mine it's kinda creepy! Love love loved this! Thank you for making a semi-crappy day soo much better, other than the massive stomach ache I have now from laughing so hard...but it's a good kind of pain! hee hee
You're my hero! ( of them, anyways...)

Author's Response: Thanks for your comments. I've had many "complaints" that viewers can't watch the show anymore without hearing the audience commentary in the back of their head. If, that is, they weren't already hearing it. ;)
