Wow! What can I say about this story? It kept me captivated through the day and a half it took me to read it. I literally couldn't put it down as each chapter just kept me reading more and more. I loved the two A/U's you have set up here. I love the whole concept and the overwhelming sense of love for both Daniel's in their own universes came through loud and clear - I think that's the part that got me the most. The idea of men being pregnant was actually plausible and belieavable in your universe and I just loved it when little Janet was born. A genius stroke to have her named after our beloved Janet too! I loved how you portrayed the emotional pain both Daniel's went through and how lovingly the respective Jack's took care of them. It was beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. And all the extra characters and the fleshing out you did of the story - foster homes, flashbacks, Lord Jackson, Mrs. Amberson, Beacham, Jacob Carter, the jobs that Jonathan, Ian, and Jose do - all of those little touches just added so much to the story it just captivated me from the beginning. This will be one of those stories I remember for a long, long time. Thanks so much for writing it for us. I can easily envision a sequel - what do you think? ;)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I must say that I had an absolute blast writing this one. It's so nice to hear back from readers who enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. ;-) As for a sequel, one has been in progress forever. It *will* be completed and posted... eventually. Where this one just wrote itself, the sequel's being a pain. ;-):-) Thanks again for the review.

This story was beautifully written, lyrical in it's tone. The world through the quantum mirror was vivid and real enough to taste and feel and see. I really enjoyed your visions of Jack and Daniel, their personalities as they would be under these different circumstances. This is an interesting take on the male pregnancy story, and actually felt very true to the characters. The characters in both worlds were well drawn and became lifelike. The angst was great, really pulled at the heartstrings. Such creativity in fan fiction is an amazing and wonderful thing to discover. Thanks for this story. Suzan
Author's Response: What a lovely first review of the new year! :-) Thank you so much for your kind words. The story was such fun to write and there is nothing quite like hearing that my readers have enjoyed it just as much as I did. ;-)

A great long read. Longtime SF readers might find a hint of Frank Herbert's The White Plague underlying the plot, but it is plausibly based on Stargate canon, and I must admit this is the only plausible rationale for male pregnancy I've run into. The characters in both alternate universes sound like the characters I know, and the alternate world is fully realized and unique. The back and forth between the alternate worlds is interesting, and the story is worth the time to read it carefully, and highly satisfying love stories in both worlds.
Author's Response: Wow! Thank you! I think I may have a copy of the White Plague around here somewhere, but I haven't read it, yet. Sounds like I need to make the time. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I have just finished reading your story, and I have to tell you that I really enjoyed it. I hope to read more stories soon.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I imagine there will be more stories down the road, though RL takes its toll and makes it slow going sometimes. ;-) Thanks for the review! What a lovely thing to find first thing in the morning! :-) Julia

So far, I think you've done an excellent job of creating a cohesive, complete alternate universe. I like the way you've dropped in small differences between 'our' universe and Lord Daniel's. You've also done a very nice job with your treatment of male pregnancy. You have made the concept seem reasonable. I think it's because of the back history you created and because of Jonathan & Lord Daniel's attitudes. Namely that male pregnancy is something that used to be strange and unthinkable but is now something that happens. (The drop-in mention that some cultures disappeared because they refused to accept the change added a nice authenticity.)
Overall, I think you've captured the character's voices well. I look forward to reading more of your stories.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! It's always gratifying to know that what started as an intellectual exercise ended up being an enjoyable story. ;-) One never really knows until it gets released into the wild. :-)
